Decolonizing Therapy 

Dr. Jennifer Mullan is a clinical psychologist who is focused on ancestral trauma work and breaking free of Black oppression in traditional therapy practices. She posts healing exercises, as well as incredibly helpful information in every caption for BIPOC. 

Minaa B.

We’re huge fans of Minaa B. at IDONTMIND. Check out her work on our Journal and our Ask A Therapist series. As a therapist, Minaa is constantly posting about boundaries, anxiety triggers, healing, and grief — specifically how it relates to being Black. She also posts incredibly relatable gentle reminders and notes to self that just makes everything feel a little easier.

Ogorchukwuu is all about decolonizing wellness and addressing racial trauma. There are so many resources broken down in simple steps that make the healing process a little easier to start, including a holistic toolkit for coping with racial trauma and responding to cultural appropriation.

The Nap Ministry

The Nap Ministry is originally based out of Atlanta, and they believe rest is a form of rest and reparations for Black people. Founder Tricia Hersey is hosting mini-sermons on Instagram focused on slowing down and getting sleep when you’re a Black person fighting oppression every day. 

Rachel Cargle

Rachel Cargle is a writer, lecturer, and activist and the founder of The Loveland Foundation. She posts resources and tools that focus on race, mental health, womanhood, and affirming the Black experience. 

Rest for Resistance

This trans-led organization uplifts both the LGBTQ+ community and people of color. They promote meditation as an act of resistance, provide a safe environment for trans and queer people of color and providing mental health resources.

Rwenshaun Miller is a licensed professional counselor and brings his experience as a Black man in America into all of his work. His Instagram is full of mental health insight based on his own emotions and feelings.
