Kimmy wu

(@asiansextherapist)

Kimmy (she/her) is a passionate Taiwanese American psychotherapist, mental health advocate, and a recovering perfectionist in New York City.

As a therapist, she provides trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, and sex/kink-affirming therapy services with an intersectional and psychodynamic framework. She works with individuals, couples, and business partners from different walks of life to navigate life transitions and face challenges related to self-worth, perfectionism, heartbreak, identity, shame, sexuality, career, relationships, and overall well-being.

As a first-generation immigrant, woman of color, and mental health advocate, she hopes to destigmatize mental health through community-building and storytelling—as she believes that mental wellness should not be a luxury and is dedicated to increasing awareness and access to mental health care for marginalized communities.

Lastly, as a fellow human, Kimmy loves strolling around the vibrant neighborhoods of NYC while hunting down the best croissants and coffee, traveling to destinations that mandate longer layovers, reading books that stir up strong emotions and challenge her inner thoughts, and connecting with friends who make her feel at home.

INGRID CAMACHO

(@wellness.with.ingrid)

Ingrid became a therapist because she understood how challenging it can be to seek help. She grew up in a Latino household, held together with Latino cultural expectations and traditional Christian values, where therapy is often stigmatized. Growing up, she was taught to keep emotional struggles within the family, making it difficult to access the support she needed.

This personal experience drives her passion to create a safe, supportive space for others, especially those from Latinx and BIPOC communities, to break through these barriers and access the care they deserve. She holds a graduate degree in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. She is also a licensed mental health counselor in New York.
